The Permanent Council (Council) of the International Union of Judicial Officers (Union) was held on May 11th and 12th in Luxembourg. Chief Enforcement Officer of the RA Arsen Mnatsakanyan and Head of Legal Department of the Service Gohar Mkrtchyan participated in the event by the invitation of the president of the International Union of Judicial Officers Mark Schmitz.
The Council discussed the necessity of adopting a Global Code of Profession and Ethical Standards in Enforcement as well as guidelines on forced auction. Additionally, based on the practical implementation of the Global Code of Digital Enforcement by Member States, potential amendments were discussed.
The delegation of the service participated in the round-table discussions dedicated to improving the legislative framework regarding the enforcement policy and increasing the role of the Enforcement Officer in the Member States of the Union.
Gohar Mkrtchyan gave a speech on the topic of reforms in the Compulsory Enforcement current system towards increasing effectiveness of enforcement proceedings, through digitization throughout the year, that has been part of the strategy for judicial and legal reforms of the Republic of Armenia for the year of 2022-2026.
During the Council, the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer had a number of meetings with the heads of partner organizations from different countries and had separate meetings with Mark Schmitz, President of the Union.
