This year, the Compulsory Enforcement Service is celebrating the 23rd anniversary of its formation. By the decision of the Government, since 2013, the 5th of May is officially celebrated as the Day of Compulsory Enforcement Officer. On this occasion, on 5 May, a ceremonial consultation was held in the administrative building of the Service, and Deputy Minister of Justice Suren Grigoryan also participated in the consultation.
In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Minister, congratulating the administration of the Service and compulsory enforcement officers on the occasion of the Day of Compulsory Enforcement Officer, stated the following: “Dear colleagues, first and foremost, I would like to pass to you the warm congratulatory remarks of the Minister of Justice on the occasion of the Day of Compulsory Enforcement Officer, and I am glad that this day serves as an opportune occasion to also touch upon global issues because during our daily activities, we are overloaded with technical issues, and I express hope that we will be able to set the goals and create the values that I have stated.”
Congratulating all employees of the Service on the occasion, Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer Sergey Meghryan emphasised that even though not all employees of the Service are participating in the ceremonial session dedicated to the Day of Compulsory Enforcement Officer due to the pandemic, nevertheless, during the past 23 years of existence of the Service, it would be impossible to achieve success and overcome numerous challenges without the daily and hard teamwork and without being aware of the responsibility before the State and citizens: “By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Armenia of 25 April 2013, 5 May was officially declared as the Day of Compulsory Enforcement Officer. Every year, this day serves as the best occasion to value not only the achievements that the Service has made throughout its existence, but also the dedication of every one of you to your work, the Service and our statehood. The 23 years of existence of the Service allow to state that, even today, the Service has its unique role and importance in the major task of establishing rule of law in the justice sector in the Republic of Armenia.”
Touching upon the future activities of the Service, the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer mentioned that, even today the ongoing reforms related to the activities of the Service are aimed at conveying new quality to the effective implementation of the functions defined by law. In this regard, what is primary is for each of us to work in good faith, be consistent, be responsible and properly perform our duties.
According to Sergey Meghryan, having as a benchmark high professional capacities, principality, respect for the interconnected State-citizen institution, as well as the aspiration to raise the level of activities of the Service to a new level, it will be possible to achieve more successes and exercise the whole scope of powers reserved by law with dignity.
In his speech, the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer also expressed gratitude to the veterans of the Service who have made their invaluable contributions to the functioning and development of the Compulsory Enforcement Service with their
long-standing work and to all employees who perform their functions in good faith, with dedication and with a state mindset during crises in the country.
During the ceremonial session, according to tradition, awards were granted to employees who have performed their official duties with excellence and in good faith; 68 employees of the Service received various incentives, awards and letters of appreciation.
By the orders of the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer, 4 employees were awarded the “Honorary Worker of the Compulsory Enforcement Service” badge, and another 4 were awarded the Medal “For Impeccable Service”. Six employees were granted extraordinary rank.
