Acting Minister of Justice Grigor Minasyan visited the Compulsory Enforcement Service to introduce to the officers the new model of the Service which is aimed at increasing effectiveness of the work of the officers.
Grigor Minasyan underlined that application of the new system is still of experimental nature and is subject to further improvements and corrections, which are to be made especially through the active participation of the officers, based on the proposals made by the latter.
Head of the Compulsory Enforcement Service Sergey Meghryan highly appreciated the format of the meeting and noted that only through joint efforts will it be possible to deal with the existing problems of the Service.
Acting Minister Grigor Minasyan added that intensive works have been carried out for reform of the Service over the past months, including legislative amendments aimed at not only increasing effectiveness of the work of compulsory enforcement officers, but also contributing to the establishment of direct contacts between compulsory enforcement officers and citizens and improvement of the quality of services.
Full digitisation of the system of the Compulsory Enforcement Service is currently being implemented with the support of international partners and will be completed by the end of this year, and it is planned to improve the property status of the Service; in addition, it is planned to create a special service model of the Compulsory Enforcement Service on the basis of the model of the Patrol Service.
Minasyan underlined that the purpose of such reforms is to radically change the public perception of compulsory enforcement officers, viewing them as officials who are actually restoring violated human rights, not just entities that carry out levying.
